The No Kill Equation...

 

 

The No Kill Equation is a set of 11 elements that when implemented comprehensively in animal shelters  can eliminate the killing of healthy or treatable animals. Though they certainly to take effort to implement each component is relatively simple to understand.

 

The compotents are:

 

• Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) for free-roaming cats

• Comprehensive Adoptions

• Low-cost Spay/Neuter services

• Cooperation with Rescue Groups

• Foster Care

• Pet Retention efforts

• Medical and behavioral Rehabilitation

• Engaging The Public

• Volunteers

• Proactive Redemption

• Effective Leadership
